How to print your child's adventure book at home

Your illustrated story is ready as a PDF. Here is how to get a beautiful print at home without a professional printer.

Download from My Books

Open My Books, wait until all pages are illustrated, then tap Create illustrated PDF. Export takes about 30 seconds. Download the file to your phone or computer.

Printer settings

Use a color inkjet or laser printer on A4 or US Letter paper. Select "Actual size" or 100% scale — do not fit to page, or margins may clip illustrations.

For richer colors, choose a heavier paper (32 lb / 120 gsm) if your printer supports it. Plain copy paper works fine for bedtime reading.

  • Color printing recommended
  • 100% scale — no shrink-to-fit
  • Heavier paper optional for gifts

Make it feel like a real book

Staple along the left edge, use a binder clip, or slide pages into a clear report cover. Kids often love decorating their own cover with stickers.

Pair printing with screen-free time: read once together, then let them flip through alone. Space and pirate themes are fan favorites.
